Scanvaegt's Online Dairy System manages the batch numbers very efficiently all through the production.
The system registers the batch number at production start and ensures, at the follows the cheeses through every single packing operation - from price labelling of the individual cheese filet to final pallet labelling to end-customer.
The solutions comprises these units:
- labelling station for weight labelling of single cheese, including automatical label application
- labelling station for print-out of temporary pallet label
- labelling station for for final pallet labelling in the despatch department
- handheld computer for despatch handling
- Online Dairy System-software for data-capture and management of labelling stations.
Total integration
The Online Dairy System is designed specifically for the dairy sector for rationalizing the production and ensuring traceability of batch numbers, by integrated data-capture and -processing, providing a complete overview of the production, automatising numerous jobs, re-applying existing data and eliminating manual work.
Functions
During the packing process the system registers precisely the cheese batch, that is part of the package - the individual cheeses are labelled with batch numbers after production. The labels contain information about item number, weight, production number and cheese batch. (year-week-day-tank). The individual cheese's data is stored in a production database. The cheese is also labelled with a reference number in the barcode.
For every packed pallet a pallet labelling station automatically prints-out a pallet label with a temporary pallet ID-number. At despatch of the pallets to end-customers the barcode with info about cheese batch is scanned with a handheld computer. The system now collects data about the cheese in the central production database and connects automatically this data with the actual customer data. Another pallet labelling station now applies the final pallet label, containing info about customer name, production order number, summed-up net weight, product number, expiration date, product text and cheese batch, EAN128 barcode with SSCC code, net weight and EAN-number. Finally the system prints-out a weight note, stating the exact cheese batches on the pallet.
A unique feature of the system is that it also provides you with a rapport showing which cheeses were used in the production and which cheeses that were discarded, if any, and which cheeses that were used for test cheeses.
Complete data-capture for production history
All production data are captured and stored in a central database. From here you may generate reports, stating expeditions per tank, expeditions pallet divided, pallet stock listing and tank stock listing plus various production reports. |
