The Granit™ 1991iXR is an ultra-rugged extended-range barcode scanner designed to ensure maximum productivity and uptime in demanding work environments. Its durable construction contributes to a low total cost of ownership (TCO), while advanced scanning technology enables fast and reliable reading—even of damaged or poor-quality barcodes.

With Granit XP, users benefit from enhanced functionality and a new standard in ultra-rugged scanning.

Granit XP is built to withstand rough handling, including 3 m (10 ft) drops, 7,000 tumbles at 1 m, operating temperatures from –20 °C to 50 °C, and IP67 protection—reducing service costs and increasing device uptime.

Granit delivers exceptional scanning performance, even on damaged and low-quality barcodes. High-quality barcodes are captured and transmitted faster than ever before.

The XR model is ideally suited for standard near-field scanning of 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as extended-range scanning—reading UPC codes at distances up to 1.5 m (5 ft) and 100-mil codes up to 10 m (33 ft).

Following a legacy of successful deployments, the next generation Granit™ XP scanners expand capabilities and redefine ultra-rugged scanning. With a 10’ drop spec, Granit™ XP is engineered to keep on working after the impact of drops from loading docks, fork trucks, and picking trucks.

The 1 meter (3.3 foot) tumble test indicates long term durability with daily knocks and drops from workstation or waist height. A 7,000 tumble specification ensures Granit™ scanners will be ready to work for the long term. And IP67 dust and moisture sealing protect scanning performance under harsh treatment.With FlexRange technology, Granit 1991iXR model begins with no-sacrifice near field scanning, and expands that to read UPC codes to 1.5m (5 ft) and 100 mil (2.54mm) rack labels at 10m (33 ft), seamlessly handling many warehouse/distribution center and manufacturing workflows.
