Scanvaegt Systems has launched a software system that addresses the challenge of proper sorting, weighing, and registration of construction waste for recycling at recovery facilities.

The delivered construction materials are a resource that the recycling facilities aim to reuse as much as possible.

New legislation from 2020 requires that a construction case be created for every demolition or renovation project—regardless of whether it concerns a small private house, a large commercial building, a bridge, a road, or any other type of construction.

A backward traceability chain must also be established, showing the original source of the various construction materials. At the same time, there must be even better control over weighed fractions, correct sorting, and data registration.

Scanvaegt’s software system addresses all these tasks and provides companies—both private and municipal actors within the environmental sector—with a much clearer overview of the delivered materials. This makes it significantly easier for companies to register materials in the correct fractions and to resell them, as they now have precise knowledge of their “inventory” of fractions, thereby increasing their profitability.

As a new feature, the software can also operate as a mobile app, giving staff full freedom of movement on site.
