To enhance service quality and flexibility for customers, Scanvaegt Systems is now establishing its own workshop, primarily for installing load cells on trucks.

Scanvaegt Utilizes Existing Facilities in Skejby to Establish Workshop for Weighing and Registration Systems

Scanvaegt is making use of its existing facilities in Skejby by setting up a workshop hall with space for four trucks to be equipped with weighing and registration systems. The first refuse collection trucks have already been booked for installation.

“Where assembly work was previously handled by our partners in Sweden, we will now carry out these tasks ourselves. This will significantly reduce assembly time. Our strategy is to expand our service offerings to be closer to our customers while simultaneously increasing the utilization rate of our own technicians and production staff. Going forward, we will be self-sufficient and no longer dependent on partners,” says Lennart Svenstrup, Business Manager at Scanvaegt Systems A/S.

He emphasizes that service technicians will continue to perform on-site maintenance on trucks at customer locations.

At the same time, the new assembly workshop in Aarhus and the service department in Hedehusene are being reinforced with a larger spare parts inventory.

There is now also the possibility for activities such as the verification of trucks to take place indoors.

“This is a great advantage in terms of protection from wind effects when testing several tons of weights on a truck. Additionally, we have the capacity to charge electric trucks on-site,” says Lennart Svenstrup.

When it comes to electric trucks, Scanvaegt has an important point to make.

“By managing the assembly ourselves, haulers save both time and money. They no longer need to pay for expensive specialized transportation, and shorter assembly times mean that the refuse trucks can get out and start generating revenue faster,” Lennart Svenstrup points out.
