Mobile weighing solutions save working time and prevent errors.

Mobile weighing solutions make cumbersome weighings easy and save valuable working time.

Scanvaegt Systems provides a wide variety of scales for numerous applications—including innovative mobile weighing solutions designed for installation on both trucks and wheel loaders.

Mobile weighing solutions can be integrated into a wide range of vehicles, where the system provides an efficient solution for dynamic and precise weighing.

“The mobile weighing systems offer our customers great flexibility in managing their weighing tasks, while also saving both time and money,” says Bjarne Petersen, Sales Manager for Mobile Weighing Systems at Scanvaegt Systems.

Pfreundt Weighing System for Wheel Loaders

The mobile weighing system from the German manufacturer Pfreundt is a standard solution developed for installation on wheel loaders and is typically used in gravel pits, the construction industry, raw material extraction, and similar sectors. The Pfreundt system consists of a weighing unit mounted on the grab (a pressure sensor on the hydraulic system) and a weighing instrument located in the cab. It dynamically weighs the material in the grab and accumulates the weight as loading progresses until the operator completes the weighing. The entire process is highly efficient and enables faster customer service.

“With the Pfreundt weighing system installed on the wheel loader, there is never any doubt about how many tons of material have been loaded onto the truck—the system continuously weighs each individual lift,” explains Bjarne Petersen and continues, “It ensures accurate registration of the weight of the delivered material and guarantees correct billing.”

All weight records from the wheel loader are automatically transferred via a cloud-based system and stored securely, allowing easy access at any time.

If the truck driver requires a receipt for the delivered material, the operator in the wheel loader can also print a delivery note directly from the Pfreundt system.

The Pfreundt weighing system is verifiable—this is crucial if the weight is to be used for commercial transactions. To be approved for “buy and sell” purposes, the weighing system must be inspected and verified by an authorized body.

Botek Weighing System for Trucks

Scanvaegt also supplies mobile weighing systems from the Swedish manufacturer Botek. These systems can be integrated into various types of trucks—such as refuse collection vehicles, container trucks, and trucks equipped with tail lifts, hooklifts, front loaders, side loaders, and more.

The extensive product range includes weighing systems and standard solutions specifically developed for the waste management sector to support waste collection and route planning. With the integrated weighing system, the refuse truck weighs and records each individual waste collection with weight and ID/address during the route before transporting it to disposal.

Bjarne Petersen elaborates: “Botek weighing systems not only enable quick weighing of waste containers—it takes just 7 seconds per weighing—but also include tools for efficient route planning with digital driving lists and waste container identification via RFID. The system records information about each collection along with any deviations and GPS position, reporting all data in real time to the office via a cloud setup. In this way, the Botek system helps waste management companies increase efficiency and ensure accurate waste registration,” concludes Bjarne Petersen.

The Botek system optimizes operations in many ways, including by suggesting the shortest driving routes, reducing the number of missed waste containers, preventing collections from non-paying customers, and verifying completed collections. Furthermore, the system updates any changes to existing routes in real time and displays them immediately on the driver’s tablet, allowing quick route adjustments.
