Urbaser invests in Botek system for 10 new refuse trucks

We are proud to have been selected as a supplier by Urbaser, one of the leading waste management companies in Denmark. The company handles the collection of household waste in 25 municipalities across the country, including Haderslev Municipality, where Urbaser is deploying 10 new waste collection vehicles and 1 new crane truck.

The crane truck is equipped with a chassis scale as well as the BOTEK route planning system. The 10 waste collection vehicles will be fitted with a complete BOTEK system that performs several tasks, including:

• Route planning for the trucks
• Driver delivery lists
• GPS maps with an overview of collection addresses
• Registration of collection addresses via RFID
• Recording of the date and time of collection
• Reporting of any missing or faulty waste bins
• Transfer of collection data to the municipality

The BOTEK system reports all data registrations and GPS positions to the office in real time. The system saves time for the drivers by recommending the shortest routes, showing the correct bin placement, and optimizing existing routes, which are updated in real time and displayed immediately on the driver’s tablet."
