When it comes to lift weighing, speed and resolution are critical. The system performs dynamic weighing, continuously following the lift’s movement without requiring it to stop for each weighing. Weighing takes place automatically when the lift is activated — both on the way up and down.
This solution increases collection efficiency by automatically detecting overfilled containers and providing precise weight data for billing. This transparency encourages customers to sort recyclables more effectively and helps reduce waste handling costs.
The lift scale, mounted between the lift and lift arm, weighs each container before and after emptying, registering the net content weight — all within a normal emptying cycle and as a verified weighing process.
Fast Weighing and High Precision
The lift scale is built around a single-point load cell that compensates for the stresses associated with lift weighing on refuse trucks. Combined with speed and acceleration measurement, this enables dynamic weighing — ensuring fast, accurate results without delays. The result: less working time, more collections per shift, and higher efficiency compared to traditional systems.
The lift scale can be verified down to 0.2 kg, making it suitable for trade-approved use or as a validated system for data collection and reliable statistics on collected volumes.
Durable and Reliable Weighing System
The system consists of one or two single-point load cells, each with a 2,000 kg capacity. These market-leading load cells ensure a robust design — well protected against mechanical impact such as collisions — providing long-term durability even in tough daily operations.
Many lift arms on collection trucks are already prepared for Scanvaegt lift scales, making retrofitting simple. For new trucks, we recommend requesting lift-scale preparation directly from the vehicle builder to ensure seamless integration.
With our open interface architecture, the system can be integrated with Scanvaegt’s own solutions or third-party systems.
