Scanvaegt delivers complete solutions for the inbound weighing, identification, and registration of iron, scrap, metals, and similar return materials — with full IT integration and ADS reporting of waste types to the authorities.

The solution typically consists of a weighbridge, a driver terminal, and a ScanX.Net software module for registration and reporting.

When the truck carrying the return products arrives at the site, it is weighed on the weighbridge and simultaneously registered on the operator terminal. Data from the terminal is transferred to a PC in the weighing booth, where it is stored and prepared for transfer to a central database at the company’s headquarters.

Data Collection for Central Administration

In ScanX.Net’s directories, product types, fractions, commercial sources, and other relevant details can be linked. During weighing, the selected data is checked against a list of permissible combinations to prevent invalid registrations.

ScanX.Net also enables data transfer to financial and inventory management systems. Similarly, data already existing in these systems can be imported into ScanX.Net, thereby avoiding the need to create master data more than once.

Offline Weighing

Since the local weighing PC controls the weighing process, weighing operations can continue even if the connection to the central database is lost. This ensures a highly reliable system, where weighings are conducted, managed, and subsequently transferred to a central database. At the same time, data can be transferred to other administrative systems such as financial and inventory management systems.
