New growth strategy and leadership team
The strategy introduces an ambitious growth plan and a green transformation of the label printing facility.
Scanvaegt Labels has appointed a new management team, including a new CEO and a new Production Manager, who will work together to drive an ambitious growth plan and a green transformation of Scanvaegt Labels.
The transformation will be integrated into Scanvaegt Group’s overall sustainable solutions and the group’s goal of enhancing customer competitiveness.
Growth in new markets and segments
Scanvaegt Labels has for many years supplied labels to the retail sector, food industry, and non-food customers, but now faces an ambitious growth plan. This growth will be driven through cross-selling and synergies within Scanvaegt Group, as well as a stronger market approach.
The newly appointed CEO, Henrik Rhode, explains:
“We aim to grow both with our own customers and with shared customers within Scanvaegt Group. Together, we can offer one-stop shopping, which we know customers demand and which increases their competitiveness. The growth will focus primarily on export markets in the Nordic region, as well as increasing our market share in Denmark. I see significant potential in logistics labels, where demand is rising and we have the production capacity to meet it, as well as in linerless labels, where we are the market leader in Denmark.”
Higher uptime
Linerless labels are labels without backing paper, and Scanvaegt Labels was the first in Denmark to launch a complete solution with hardware, software, and labels. Linerless labels require fewer label roll changes because the rolls are longer due to the saved backing paper, resulting in higher uptime. Each label is cut to the exact length tailored to the product text — reducing waste, which together with the saved backing paper creates a more sustainable solution.
A well-known partnership
Scanvaegt Labels has hired a well-known duo in the industry: Henrik Rhode as CEO and Anders Hartmann Christensen as Production Manager. Both have many years of experience in the label industry and have worked together at Danlabel, Maj Invest, and Schur Labels.
“I believe it is a great advantage that we know each other so well and that our skills complement each other perfectly. We focus on many areas at Scanvaegt Labels, but one of our particular priorities is the green transition and long-term partnerships with both customers and within Scanvaegt Group. I am very optimistic about the growth strategy we face,” says Henrik Rhode.
Green focus
Production Manager Anders Hartmann Christensen adds:
“The green focus must accelerate. We already offer printing with water-based inks, which are gentler on the environment and people, and we are strong in linerless labels, but we intend to go much further. We are pursuing a green transformation that includes further waste reduction, lower energy consumption, and more.”
Anders Hartmann Christensen continues:
“Another area we must continue to emphasize is our skilled workforce. We have many employees with long tenure who maintain strong relationships with our customers. We will continue to support this.”
